Your Mom

What started out as a joke quickly became my favorite design and after too many puns, the name stuck. If great tone and versatility in a simple setup is your kind of amp, I cannot recommend this amp enough.  The touch sensitive preamp is a custom design that is incredibly dynamic. The preamp circuitry is a bare bones Gain, Tone, and volume control setup jokingly and lovingly labeled: Whiskey, Coffee, and Mom. Two push/pull switches add to the tone shaping and gain possibilities.  The first pull switch on the Whiskey knob toggles between High Heels (in) with a cleaner tone, and Boots (out) which gives the preamp a dramatic gain boost. The second pull switch is on the Coffee control and toggles the feel of the power amp section. The Cigarettes (in) setting has a more rigid feel that helps clean tones stay percussive, while the Cigar (out) setting has a looser feel and makes the amp more touch responsive and more dynamic overall.

Your Mom also has a mute switch on the back panel that mutes the preamp so you can leave your settings and let your amp stay warm during your set breaks.

The power section is similar to the coveted Brown Deluxe with dual 6V6 tubes and a tube rectifier.  The post phase inverter master volume allows for great tone even at low volume and lets you crank the preamp to go from bold cleans through gritty drive and even further into thick, raunchy distortion, all with a singing midrange character. 

The 20W version is available with either a ten inch Jensen Falcon or if you prefer the tone of a 12 inch speaker, we also offer it with the 12” Jensen Falcon.  The 35W version comes with a 12” Jensen Electric Lightning.
